Bulls Island State Park in Raven Rock, NJ
Last year I started this blog in order to have a place to post bicycle ride cue sheets. I chose four locations for starters: Princeton, Washington Crossing, Cranbury, and Hightstown. But during the year I discovered there were a few more locations that I should create cue sheets for, and Bulls Island is one of them. I’m probably biased, but I think Bulls Island State Park is the neatest place to use for a home base regarding group bike rides. It has everything a hardcore cyclist would want: hills, flats, covered bridges, scenery, a river, and so much more.
It’s very easy to get to from Princeton, or the Princeton area. Just go 3.4 miles north up Route 29 from the heart of Stockton, NJ. If you want to find it easily doing a Google maps search, then just type in Lumberville, PA. That’s the town just across the river from the park and there is a footbridge that goes across the Delaware at the park, too. CLICK HERE for a map of the park as it is situated to Stockton.
