Tuesday Evening PFW B+ Bike Ride: 36 miles
Tonight was probably the last PFW bike ride I’ll lead this year. It was my 20th. I’ve been offering rides in the club’s monthly newsletter ever since February, and it is time to take a break and enjoy riding on other people’s rides. Tonight I had two buddies show up to make sure I got credit for #20. Andrew T and Larry H helped me keep the pace brisk and the ride interesting. Larry decided on Wertsville Road that he didn’t want to do the remainder of the planned route. So I broke tradition tonight and we changed the ride to accomodate Larry. Originally we were supposed to climb Grandview from Hollow and head all the way to Dutchtown Zion followed by a scaling of Grandview from CR 601. But instead we did without those roads and headed back toward Princeton via Fairview Road. The form of the ride changed, but the substance stayed the same. Everyone said they were happy with the ride when it was over. And I was glad it was over. CLICK HERE to see the loop we did. CLICK HERE to see the original loop planned.
