Friday Morning Solo Bike Ride: 26 miles

Friday Morning Solo Bike Ride: 26 miles

I wanted to try out my Schwinn this morning. So I did a towpath ride from home. The front derailleur still needs a little fine tuning. But the bike overall rode pretty well. Towpath rides are a little slower than rides on the road. My average pace for the 26 miles was just over 12 mph. CLICK HERE to see the route.

That’s funny I just put the new cross tyres on my bike and went for a ride on the canal to try it out this afternoon. You should have given me a call!! I only averaged 11.5! Will send you a pic!

I would have contacted you for a ride if I was not testing out the “new bike.” In fact, I look forward to one or two towpath rides with you next week either Tues, Wed, or Thurs. Keep ’em short, i.e., 25 miles. However, I would like to ride up past Griggstown and explore “6 Mile Run” park basically at Canal Road and Blackwell Road. Never been in there before. That might force me to go more than 25 miles. But such is life.

Are you thinking about doing Danek’s 35 mile towpath ride tomorrow morning?

No! I will keep riding the road bike, the other bike is just for fun. Not sure if the towpath will be rideable after the hurricane!
