Saturday Morning Solo Bike Ride: 22 miles

Saturday Morning Solo Bike Ride: 22 miles

At 9:30 this morning I was supposed to lead a PFW ride from Community Park North. It was around 30 or 32 degrees outside when the magic hour came and went and nobody showed up for my ride. It kind of surprised me since the morning was ripe for a bike ride. But then, my cycling club has not proven to have very many diehard cyclists, and even fewer that have bikes that can be ridden on a towpath. Oh well …

I was in the mood to ride the towpaths over at the Delaware River anyway this morning. So I hopped in my car at 9:30 and headed for Washington Crossing, PA. The sun was out when I departed on my 20-miler at 10 AM. Simply went up the towpath on the PA side of the river, crossed at Stockton back to NJ, and came down the towpath on the NJ side. The path was pretty firm, but not 100% so. I suppose the air temp was up in the mid-40s when I got back to my car. So there was some dampness on the trails. CLICK HERE to see the route.
