Sunday Morning Group Ride: 72 miles
I’d been looking forward to this ride for much of the week. I was going to be riding into Upper Bucks in Pennsylvania and going over two covered bridges I hadn’t visited in some time (Sheard’s Mill and Knechts). Also, I was going to be trying out some “sticky rice” rice creations I had made with the help of a cookbook Pia had loaned me a few weeks ago. Pia and I departed from Lambertville at 8:30 or so and crossed over to PA at Lambertville. We made no rest stops during the ride, and we covered quite a few hills. Everything went very well. There were 6 historic covered bridges on the ride: Loux, Sheard’s Mill, Knechts, Erwinna, Frankenfield, and Tohickon. CLICK HERE to see the route.
