Saturday Morning Solo Off-Road Ride: 15.5 miles

After getting a little soggy yesterday on the trails at Mercer Meadows I figured I would get out earlier today and ride on nice crusty paths with frozen ice to contend with. I planned again to ride for just an hour, and ended up doing an hour and 7 minutes I think. I had hoped  to get three laps of the course in, but when I got to Blackwell Road during the third lap I saw I had gone over the time. So I took a left on Blackwell Road and headed straight for my car at the Blackwell Lot to the park. My left thumb got cold during the first lap. But a little into lap 2 and I had no more problems with my hands. My toes started to get cold though. I think the temp was around 19 when I started, and maybe 25 when I ended. All in all, I had a good ride. Not a particularly fast pace, but what should I expect on bumpy and rutty terrain? I certainly got a nice workout. CLICK HERE to see the route.
