Saturday Morning Group Ride: 65 miles

Saturday Morning Group Ride: 65 miles

I met Pia at her place at 9 AM to do a ride I sketched in RideWithGPS. I did not recall at the time of sketching the ride that today was the Hell of Hunterdon ride out of Lambertville that was said to be a 77 mile 5900 feet of elevation gain. My ride and the Hell ride interlaced. Mine did not have any unpaved roads in it and was supposed to be a little shorter (72 miles) and a little less hilly (5500 feet elevation gain). Both rides started at the same time and from Lambertville. When Pia and I got to Route 29 at Stockton we decided to deviate and just head south on Route 29 back to her place at the top of Goat Hill. So we shaved a little of the mileage and elevation gain. Oh well! CLICK HERE to see the route we eventually did. We averaged somewhere around 19 mph for the ride.
