Tuesday Afternoon Walk-Run: 3.5 miles
Come this Thursday it would be two full weeks since I went running. It was that last run that I did some damage to my soleus muscle in my left leg. This afternoon I decided I was feeling good enough to make an attempt at running on the leg again. I figured I would do a 1-hour walk on the treadmill at 3 mph pace, and then see how long I could last running at a 6 mph pace without re-injuring myself. By the end of the walk my calf had started to tighten up. And after doing half a mile of running my leg didn’t feel like I should continue running, so I quit. Rehab, what a hassle.
