Sunday Morning PFW Group Ride: 46 miles

It’s been a long time since I went for a club ride. The last group ride I went on was a Tuesday morning Andrew T ride. That was a long time ago, too. I’m starting to add some “longer” rides to my routine with hopes of getting fit enough to ride the metric century course at the Buck County covered bridge ride to be held in two weeks. I plan to ride my Dahon folder at that ride.

This morning I headed over to Etra Park on the other side of Hightstown. The ride departed at 9 AM, and lasted for about 3 hours. I think there were 10 or 12 on the ride, but I never counted. I was just out to have a nice spin on my Dahon folder that I plan to ride in two weeks. The temp was low – around 45 degrees. I don’t think it ever warmed up to 60. The sun was out, and the sky was clear. Nice bunch of people. It was pretty much a B ride even though it was categorized as a B+. Peter F and Sean D were in attendance. So were two guys who attended my All Paces ride in July. The leader’s wife was there, as was one other woman. I stayed in 5th, 6th, and 7th gears most of the ride; my bike only has 8 gears. Felt OK considering my riding has been very limited since early June. CLICK HERE to see the route.
