Sunday Solo Ride in the Snow: 63 miles

Sunday Solo Ride in the Snow: 63 miles

A chilly morning for a bike ride, but the weather forecast shifted on me yesterday and I was definitely going to get a ride in today. It was snowing on me for the last 8 miles of today’s ride. When I was riding through Hopewell I ran into a cycling buddy of mine who lives in Hopewell. He was out jogging. I turned around on Route 518-Alt and proceeded to ride along side of him while he jogged up Stony Brook Road and over to Hopewell Wertsville Road. That explains why I went so slow for that stretch. I suppose it also explains why I went into the hills, too. I had originally planned to ride Route 518 to Rocky Hill and take the diagonal over to Kingston and come back in via Prospect Street. But I had no ride etched in stone for this morning. I was just looking to get in my first metric century for March. Goal accomplished. CLICK HERE to see the route.
