Leg Speed Training

Some call these “neuromuscular workouts,” and others call them “stride workouts.” I just call them HiiT sprint workouts for distance runners. Pace is max effort, i.e., fast but not all out for 20 seconds. Repeat 8x to 10x with 1 minute break. This video shows the exercise being done on an outdoor track. I prefer to do them on a powerful treadmill.
