Sat Morning Ad Hoc Ride

Sat Morning Ad Hoc Ride

I wasn’t much in the mood to do a real workout this morning. Drove over to the Plainsboro pool and swam for 25 minute before dressing up to go for the 8:30 ride out of Cranbury. The weather was very iffy. Guys showed up for the ride. No leader. No ride sheet. We decided to do a loop near the park in case it started to thunder and lightning. I had an empty stomach since I had not eaten since 5 PM last night. I wanted to do a low intensity ride. Unfortunately at about mile 20 or so the intensity went up because the guy I was drafting off of in the paceline was not too cool in holding the wheel in front of him. So not too long thereafter I bailed and rode back to the car and drove home. Click on the map below to see the loop at RWGPS. Overall the ride was pretty quick. If it had stayed smooth, then maybe I would have continued further. But I didn’t want to get wet. So I quit.
