RUSA Ride #10: 100k
Went to the pool this morning as usual. Didn’t do a particularly long workout since I intended to go for a RUSA ride later in the morning. The high temp for the day was supposed to get up into the 50s. Never saw it. And never saw the sun. And I even got sprinkled on a little. But not enough to really call a rain.
I did the route I’ve named “Fun Trek to Nowhere.” It’s probably my hilliest 100k route that I’ve gotten approved by RUSA to date. I don’t have a problem with it. But I’m not thrilled riding it. It’s just a ride to do. I got it done in a reasonable time. And when I got home and uploaded the GPS file to Garmin Connect I noticed that Gil Lebron snuck in a 400k ride over the weekend in NC. Apparently he’s on a mission to rack up the miles this year. He must be planning to do the NC Rando 1200 in May? Just a guess on my part.
