Junk Miles

Junk Miles

Although this video is meant for runners. The concepts are equally applicable to cyclists. Bottom line: if a run or ride has no purpose in your training plan (or it sabotages your training plan), then those miles are junk. Long miles should be slow, middle distance miles should be somewhere around threshold. And short miles should be fast. This video addresses the situation where you are doing long miles somewhere around threshold, i.e., not a good idea in any training plan.
